Brian G - Auckland NZ

1) Favourite colour - Blue

2) Favourite movie - Not fussed on movies but enjoyed "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "A Few Good men". Come to think of it any Jack Nicholson drama as opposed to his "comedies". And then of course there are the classics like "Zulu" and "Lawrence of Arabia".

3) Favourite animal - Big dogs (or Jack Russell at a pinch) would win over neddies because they are more interactive, though for peaceful watching you can't beat a paddock of mares and foals

4) Favourite book - As a keen reader, a difficult question to answer - really enjoyed Stephen Donaldson's Thomas Covenant series and The Gap series. Also like crime/thriller/espionage genres.

5) Favourite passage from Q4A (if you don't have one, lie) - All the kiwi-isms, Briggsy has done a spictacular (sic) job of describing the fintistic (sic) manner of speaking over here,eh bro?

6) Favourite photo from Q4A (ditto) - The neddies for Karaka; brings back memories of hours of walking around paddocks in the Newmarket and Newbury areas. Wet feet, cold hands and the morning of the early morning dew bow wave, caused by the biggest, meanest colt hammering towards a fence with me face down at the end of the lead rope. If I hadn't managed to hang on he would have shown those mares in the next paddock that whilst young he knew what to do; and he would have been kicked to a pulp attempting it.

7) Favourite smell - Giorgio on my wife (or a friendly kitchen in full cooking mode, doesn't matter what cuisine)

8) Most essential quality in a friend - Loyalty

9) Most desirable quality in a partner - Trust, without it love is conditional

10) Most embarrassing moment - Fainting on Grand Day parade

11) Proudest achievement - Being accepted by my then 18 y o stepdaughter; it only took 4 years of extreme patience. Didn't have that problem with her older sister and younger brother.

12) Saddest memory - Not sure; probably the last time I saw my father before he died (there was a gap of a few years between the two events) and thinking how much more vital he had been. Similarly with my mother in law; Alzheimers and cancer are absolutely a wicked combination.

13) Happiest memory -Waking up this morning and seeing my wife and remembering we got it right second time round for both of us.

14) Hero - None really but lots of admiration for Nelson Mandela though there is still heaps to do in SA. Also all the unnamed service men and women who have to follow orders from above "to promote democracy" and "to rid the world of terror"

15) Buried or cremated ? Where ? Why ? -Cremation in a low-key, secular manner. Wherever is convenient for those left to follow instructions. Why not?

16) Favourite Music (Briggsy forgot this one) - Blues and jazz, 1965 - 1985 rock; Bach
